What is YouReallySmell.com all about?
Well it all started on UK-based comedy podcast, Answer Me This! back in February of 2007. The format of the podcast is that people send in questions and the presenters answer them (original, isn't it?). Well in episode 8, a man named Charlie asked "how do people with bad BO not notice how smelly they are?" - this lead on to a conversation about how one can inform a person that they are smelly and eventually the suggestion that a website should be created which offers the service of doing exactly that.
Fast forward a year and a half, and someone actually decided to make it. Probably because I'd dropped out of college that week and had nothing better to be doing.
How many people use the site?
At the time of writing, about 100 people use the service per day on average.
Do you keep a log of the E-Mails that are typed in?
No. Why would I want the contact details of hundreds of smelly people?
Do you ever get replies from people who receive the E-Mails saying they smell?
Yes. Mostly auto-responders, but I do also get the occasional "Who sent me this?"

Don't you think this website is a bit bullying?
After lengthy discussions with many people, I decided that if anyone thought I smelt, I'd want to know. But I also found myself far too embarrassed to tell other people that they smell. I don't think of this service as being in any way bullying, no, I think of it as being a helpful tool to in fact avoid social problems.
Although, yes, there are some kinds of people who wouldn't appreciate receiving a YouReallySmell.com E-Mail. Please use the service wisely, I don't like getting angry replies.
